Quilted Blackwood and Narra Cane

$1,200.00

This cane has some remarkable grain, wow! The handle is Tasmanian blackwood that was salvaged from a tree stump. The grain is heavily quilted with deep 3D looking grain, it's hard to believe the surface is flat! It is also a highly chatoyant wood and the heavy figure accentuates the optical effect even more. Quilted figure this dynamic is very rare, especially in an obscure wood species.

The shaft is an equal contender to the handle on this cane, it's extremely figured, curly narra wood. This wood is so wild and swirly that it has almost the same look as a burl, but it has the advantage of strength to be used as a cane shaft. Probably some of the most complicated looking grain we've ever been able to offer in a shaft before. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
