Here is a Bird of Prey Cane just exploding with chatoyant figured grain! The handle is curl figured mountain ash from Australia and the shaft is curl figured Tasmanian blackwood. The figure in these pieces of wood is really top quality and beautiful. All of those ripples in the wood catch light and dance with it. In the handle are some grey streaks, this is spalting, a discoloration from a fungal infection in the tree; they add a fun visual element and they meander up and down the valleys of the curl figure. The bird of prey handle is my all-time favorite handle, It was my first ever bird-inspired handle design as well. It's very comfortable and has a really striking style. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
