This spectacular cane is made exclusively out of Afzelia Xylay wood. Afzelia as a species is uncommon and highly sought after, but it's extremely rare when it shows a special figure called "xylay" which is a type of curl, but it's unlike any other kind of figured wood. Up close the wood grain is 3D looking, it's hard to believe the surface is flat! Stepping back the grain looks like scales on a reptile or a fish. The divider is Afzelia burl with brass. The shaft is Afzelia Xylay from the same tree as the handle piece. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
