Ebony and Bocote Travel Cane with Lapidary

$1,000.00

Here is a handsome travel cane (disassembles into 3 pieces) made with ebony and bocote woods. Ebony is the blackest wood in the world, a rare and highly desirable wood from Africa. Bocote is a unique wood with yellow and black producing striking grain patterns. Inlaid into the ends of the handle are two lapidary pieces of agate that are predominantly black but have streaks of color, these compliment the bocote and ebony nicely. The handle is joined permanently to the top shaft section with a sturdy yes decorative through-tenon that is pinned in place with brass. The fittings are all brass and the bottom has a low profile rubber tip and ferrule. Total length measures 37 1/2" tall and it is not adjustable.
