$500.00

This cane is a wood-grain lover’s paradise! The handle is Eucalyptus Dumosa burl wood, most commonly called “brown mallee burl” It is a wonderful quality and large piece covered in fine burl figured grain with a splotch of lighter sapwood on the top. The shaft is also Eucalyptus wood, its highly figured with curly grain top to bottom and has a fine chatoyance. The divider has some unique pieces, the centerpiece being ancient rib bone from the extinct Steller’s Sea Cow. Two thin layers of wood are Huon Pine from Tasmania, another ancient material. Finished with brass. A heavy weight cane, it has a very sturdy and substantial feel, may not be enjoyable for someone of small stature. Daily use functional.
