An heirloom quality piece, this cane has a multi-toned amboyna burl handle in my '“Claw” shape. Amboyna burl is arguably the most beautiful burl wood in the world, earning its place with vibrant color and astounding grain patterns. This piece lives up to the reputation and beyond, a very special example of amboyna burl! The blond portions is the tree’s sapwood, immediately adjacent to the sapwood is a layer of vibrant, rich red colored burl, and the rest of the heartwood is predominately orange-like shades. Heartwood and sapwood are explained in my glossary. A silvery aluminum divider leads into a stunning black and white ebony shaft. This is a very rare species of ebony found in S. E. Asia, and its heartwood is the highest contrast wood in the world with light cream colored wood and midnight black veins running randomly through it often forming beautiful patterns. A medium weight cane, suitable for most anyone to use and enjoy. It measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
