Ebony Double Curl Cane

$1,000.00

Cane art. This exhibition quality walking cane is certainty one of a kind and its amazing grain is 100% natural and totally handmade - as usual. The handle is some of my best and most wildly figured Black and White ebony. This exceptionally rare ebony species is from S. E. Asia, this piece from Laos. It’s the highest contrast wood in the world with midnight black veins running randomly through a smooth, creamy wood. The curves of my double curl handle capture the grain very nicely. This handle is very stylized but its also comfortable and functional and could be used and enjoyed all day. The curls do not interfere with holding and actually help prevent the cane from slipping forward or backwards out of the hand. The shaft is Nigerian ebony, a very fine piece and piano black. This is a heavy cane, these are dense woods, users of small statue may not enjoy using it for long. Could be used daily, but probably best considered as a special occasion cane. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.
