Hawaiian Milo Wood Curl Cane
Hawaiian Milo Wood Curl Cane
This is actually my first cane using a Hawaiian wood called “Milo”. Its rather obscure and not a commercialized species, I sourced it from a logger on the Big Island. Its fully of different colors across in its dark heartwood and bright sapwood. This curl handle is one of my largest, its comfortable to use and can be hung on an arm to free up hands. The shaft is “cebil” wood, otherwise known as Patagonia Rosewood. Its dense and has a nice grain. This wood will gain color as it ages to more of a reddish brown. Medium weight cane but has a strong taper to its shaft so it has a nimble feel. Could be used my most anyone. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.
