This is a very famous wood responsible for the naming of the country Brazil. This wood was so highly sought after by European explorers for hundreds of years that it is now near extinction and has been a protected species for decades. Aside from its remarkable pumpkin orange color this is also a dense and durable hardwood. It is paired with a dark macassar ebony shaft, its grain is subtle but easier to appreciate in person, its tightly striped with orangy-brown and blacks. Though uniquely styled this is a comfortable and functional cane, suitable for daily use if desired. It has the substantial and solid feel of a quality piece of workmanship.
