Redwood and Red Tiger Eye Cane

$1,100.00

An eye-catching cane! Its full of handsome woods grains, lovely chatoyance, and a story to tell. The handle is curl figured redwood from California, its likely ancient material that has been sustainably salvage harvested from old growth redwood stumps. It's been dead for at least 100 years, but it was an old growth redwood tree that could have been alive at the time of Christ. Regardless of its exact age, which is unknown, its grain is magnificent. The still images can’t capture how much movement and chatoyancy this wood has - its very dynamic and shimmery even in very dim light it seems to glow! The end of the pistol grip style handle and the divider are another ultra chatoyant material, its red tiger eye. Tiger eye has bands of light that shimmer and move across the stone as its moved around. The stones are accompanied by warm copper and detailed mosaic pins. Finally the shaft is a rare and obscure species from Australia most often called “Hooked Needlewood”. The grain in this wood is naturally very decorated with patterns and detail, its gorgeous to look at, its color is nice, and it is very dense and durable. A unique cane! Its weight is medium but has a respectable weight and feel, it could be used and enjoyed by most any user. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.
