Figured Rosewood Stick

$3,000.00

This Museum worthy stick is quite a stand-out piece! The whole thing is made out of an obscure rosewood species from S. E. Asia with a scientific name of "Dalbergia Dognaiensis", it's so obscure in the western world that it doesn't have a common name. Moreover, the handle and shaft are both finely figured adding exponentially to their rarity, these are truly "once in a life-time woods". The handle has a kind of curl figure that is totally unique, I've never seen it before in another species; the curls are narrow but intensely 3D looking, but seem random in places and unrelated to each other. The shaft is gorgeous, it has micro curls in it, thousands of tinny, tinny curls along its length. Adoring the top is a lapidary piece of red tiger eye. It's colors complement the rosewood perfectly, and its chatoyance is off the charts. The top is suitable for most hand sizes with a maximum diameter of 2 inches (52mm) with a rounded shape that rests nicely in the palm. It is fitted with a handsome ferrule bottom and low profile rubber tip, total length measures 38" and can not be adjusted.
