Kalimantan Ebony Modern Cane
Kalimantan Ebony Modern Cane
This is a handsome walking cane made using unique Kalimantan ebony from the S. E. Asian Island of Borneo. This rare ebony is very dense and heavy and extremely scarce, a unique variety of ebony wood. Its appearance is also unique, it has a chatoyant grain and in bright light it has green highlights in the grain. This wood is also called “green ebony”. The divider is a stack of 6 layers of wood with a center of a high-end resin faux tortoise shell that has matching colors translucence. The two larger layers of wood are genuine lignum vitae, the denest wood in the world. This would make a good daily use cane with its comfortable handle and durable materials, or a fine special occasion piece. Its weight is on the heavier side but still could be carried by most people. It feels sturdy, supportive and high-quality. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.
