Mansonia Cane
Mansonia Cane
This cane is made using Mansonia wood from equatorial Africa. This wood is sometimes referred to as “African walnut” as its appearance is very similar, though it definitely has a few significant differences from walnut. It’s not a rare wood in the realm of exotic timbers, but its certainly an obscure one rarely being imported. The divider has a centerpiece of red lace figured sheoak wood from Australia, green verawood above and below, and oak pins. Its finished with Danish oil to a soft and smooth look and feel. Suitable for most anyone and would make a great daily use piece. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.
