I almost exclusively make originals and photograph each item I make, but i’m offering this cane stand on a “make to order” basis due to its popularity. It can be made exactly as shown or different lengths to accommodate more or fewer canes. The Sapele wood will have a very similar look to the original.

I have been making “Greene and Greene” style cane stands for many years, but this is my smallest so far, it’s a compact arts and crafts statement piece to hold a 7 cane collection. The G&G style is my personal favorite, it has many distinctive design elements, such as the black ebony square pins and rich mahogany colors. This piece is made out of Sapele from Africa, which is a mahogany-looking wood but denser, which is why I actually prefer Sapele over mahogany for many projects. Sapele is also just as beautiful as mahogany with its chatoyant grain and ribbon figure.

The bottom recesses are lines with leather for a nice look and feel. The stand can be placed directly against a wall and the canes still have a safe distance from hitting the wall. Despite its tall and narrow appearance the stand is very sturdy and does not easily topple, it functions very well. A great size to keep by a door. The finish is all-natural linseed oil for a smooth and lustrous look.
