Desert Ironwood and Rosewood Cane
Desert Ironwood and Rosewood Cane
Even after working with countless woods I can confidently say I have a favorite - Desert Ironwood from the Sonoran desert. The handle of this cane has a figured example of desert ironwood and its a great looking piece full of glowing, chatoyant grain and movement. This is not just a beautiful wood its also extremely dense and durable and a great choice for a daily use walking cane. Brass leads into the complementing Cocobolo shaft, one of the most popular and coveted of the rosewoods; this example has nice grain patterns and a variety of colors. The cane has a sturdy and substantial feel and would make a great daily use cane, or for special occasions.
