East Indian Rosewood Cane

This handmade cane is made from one of the world's classic woods, East Indian Rosewood. East Indian rosewood has been in high demand for centuries as a premium furniture and musical instrument wood. This particular example is a dark purple-hued brown. East Indian rosewood is grown on plantations now and old growth stock is extremely limited. This stock is plantation stock with is called "palisander" and came from Java, Indonesia. Even still, its about 30 years old from storage! Its weight is moderate but towards the lighter side, its a nimble cane and easily carried, but still has a substantial and sturdy feel. Total cane height measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
