Ebony & Sapele Traditional Cane
Ebony & Sapele Traditional Cane
Here is a beautiful ebony and Sapele traditional walking cane with handsomely striped grain. Macassar ebony is rare and one of the most prized woods around the world. Its beautiful grain is dark but striped and has a variety of warm colors ranging from black, into chocolate browns, into orangey browns. Macassar ebony is also very dense, durable, and an ideal wood for a strong walking cane that will last for generations. The shaft is Sapele wood which is very similar in appearance and grain qualities to mahogany, but comes from Africa and is denser. In the divider are two layers of Honduran mahogany and three layers of warm copper. The cane has a solid and sturdy feel and a medium weight, suitable for daily use by most anyone. A great combination of style, functionality, and beauty. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.
