This piece could easily have tilted towards being extravagant with its extra rare figured rosewoods, but with its matte oil finish and all-wood construction, it is a joyous blend of fancy and subtle. The handle is figured cocobolo rosewood from Mexico, one of my all-time best selling woods for its excellent qualities and appearance; but scarcely have I ever been able to offer it with figured grain. In the divider are four thin layers of ebony, two layers of genuine lignum, and a center of multi-colored figured Siamese rosewood. The shaft is Bolivian rosewood with tightly striped grain. A cane anyone who enjoys wood is sure to be pleased with and enjoy.
