I put together this stunning cane using my two best pieces of Tzalam wood. This species is from Central America, its fairly rare, but more so outside of its native region; the tree itself is small among forest trees. Its often called “Mayan Walnut” for its close resemblance and characteristics to walnut. The handle has very wild figuring and the shaft has nice curl figure, its chatoyant wood and the effect is accentuated brilliantly by the figure. Should prove to be a handy daily use cane, but a very nice one at that!
