Here’s a warm and handsome cane made out of exotic woods. The handle is old growth Brazilian Mahogany with a unique contrast in its grain and high density as well, very nice material. This mahogany came from a huge, old rainforest giant. The board of wood was over 20” wide and 18’ long without a single knot. I have been working off of the same board for 8 years and have made many canes and two pieces of furniture from it with a lot left! Material like this is a relic of the past, it was imported in the 1980’s. The divider is satinwood burl from S. E. Asia with a nice detailed grain and the shaft is Tzalam wood from Central America. All of these woods have a nice shimmery look. This is a great daily use cane with a Danish oil finish that is smooth and lustrous. Weight is easily caried, but sturdy and suitable for most anyone to use and enjoy. Total length measures 38” and cane be shortened to fit.
