Padauk and Wenge Cane

$250.00

A striking cane with unique grain patterns and vibrant colors. This piece has a Padauk wood handle, an exotic wood from Africa, and its red color certainty makes a statement! Its also quite chatoyant with ribbon figured grain. The shaft is another African exotic called Wenge, a tough wood with a course grain that combines brown and black to produce some interesting patterns - very rich looking and dark. In the divider the white looking layers are actually reflective aluminum with a silvery look in person. This would make a fine daily use cane, its weight is medium but on the lighter end, suitable for most anyone to use and enjoy. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.

Padauk is a photosensitive wood, which means it has a higher than normal reaction to UV light, lots of sun-light exposure will darken and fade the wood’s color. Store this cane in a darker space in your home and you should see little change overtime.
