Rosewood Cane with Oliveri and Cocobolo
Rosewood Cane with Oliveri and Cocobolo
Here’s an exotic rosewood cane with an eye catching design and colors. The handle is Oliveri rosewood from S. E. Asia, quite an obscure species and very rare. Its also one of the densest pieces of Oliveri rosewood I’ve used, on par with some African blackwood (The densest rosewood species). And needless to say its quite a vibrant orange color! with a few dark splotches on one side. The shaft is cocobolo rosewood, unlike Oliveri Cocobolo is one of the best known rosewoods in the West and is highly prized. Cocobolo is from Central America and can host a variety of different colors, this is a very dark and handsome example. The two are separated with a piece of cocobolo and thin layers of matching Oliveri. Medium in weight, suitable for most anyone to use. Would function well as a daily use piece. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.
