This lovely cane is made out of lightly curl figured pear wood imported from Switzerland and a shaft of domestic cherry wood. The best way to describe this piece is to say that it looks and feels very gentle and smooth. It doesn’t have any harsh contrast within its grain features and is mellow looking and feeling. Pearwood is a common but premium hardwood throughout Europe, much like Cherry wood is in North America. Little is imported into the United States though, so it does come with a respectable price tag. This piece has a smooth Danish oil finish. Overall an easily carried cane, suitable for long walks or daily use. Could be used by most anyone, nimble yet strong and sturdy. Total length measures 38” and can be shortened to fit.
